Coring and Core Analysis
Core measurements provide the most direct evidence of key reservoir properties and are often the benchmark against which logs and other data are judged. Taking a multidisciplinary approach, this course follows the full workflow from planning a coring programme and preserving core through to routine and special core analysis and checking the quality of labouratory results.

Who should attend
Petrophysicists, reservoir engineers, geologists, core and log analysts, geophysicists, drilling and completion engineers and research staff who use or commission core data.
What participants will be able to do
- Plan coring programmes that maximise recovery
- Preserve core to minimise alteration of rock properties
- Derive porosity, permeability and saturation from routine core analysis
- Interpret special core analysis results such as wettability and relative permeability
- Spot errors and quality issues in labouratory reports
